Important Information!
Below are some general reminders:
- We are a PEANUT-FREE school. This is especially important to remember during holidays. NOTHING with peanut products can enter the building.
- When you bring your child to the doctors and they recieve a vaccine please bring a copy of the paperwork to school. This will assure that your child’s file is always up to date.
- If your contact information has changed please notify the director or your child’s teacher. Incase of an emergency or school closing we need to be able to reach you.
- Please make sure your child always has an adequate amount of supplies at school; diapers, wipes, spare clothes, etc.
Thank you for taking the time to read this! Remember, in order to provide the utmost care for your child we need a lot of teamwork! 🙂
February
This month has been a fantastic one so far. The toddler class has been learning about our planet Earth as well as the many different things we see up in the sky. Preschool has been working on various wiriting skills, reviewing colors, shapes, numbers, and letters, and discussing people that they love and care about. Our Kindergardeners have celebrated groundhog day, learned about the Winter Olympics, their teeth, and will explore the many wonderful stories of Dr. Seuss next week. For Valentine’s Day all of the children brought cards and special treats into school for their friends as a way to show how much they like and appreciate them. You can feel all of the love in the building this month!
Happy Holidays
Happy Holidays and Happy New Year! A new year means new beginnings and new memories to be made. In 2014 this is exactly what we plan on doing!
This month in the Toddler and Preschool rooms we are going to be discussing different forms of Transportation from cars to hot air balloons. We will also be learning about Community Helpers such as police officers, fire fighters, and teachers. In the Kindergarden classroom we will be discussing and learning more about Winter, Penguins, Favorite Foods, and Groundhogs. On January 20th everyone will be celebrating Martin Luther King Jr. day with special projects and stories.
Let’s make this year one we won’t soon forget!
December Info
Last month the holiday season was just starting and is now in full swing. December can be a crazy month so please read the following reminders:
As of September 1, 2008 The State of New Jersey requires ALL students who are in daycare, and/or preschool facilities, between the ages of 6 and 59 months of age to have the seasonal flu vaccine. There is no grace period granted for unvaccinated children and BY LAW we have to enforce the Mandate. Children who do not recieve the vaccine by Decmeber 31st will be excluded until the end of flu season, which is March 31st in NJ, or until they recieve at least one dose of the vaccine.
Due to the holidays we have several early dismissals and closures coming up. PLEASE be sure you are on time on early dismissal days!
–Tuesday Demeber 24th– WE CLOSE AT 1PM
–Wednesday December 25th– CLOSED
–Thursday December 26th– OPEN AT 8AM
–Tuesday December 31– WE CLOSE AT 3PM
–Wednesday January 1st– CLOSED
Please make sure your child always has the necessary items he/she needs at school at all times. This includes AT LEAST one spare WEATHER APPROPRIATE outfit in their cubby at all times, diapers, wipes, creams, bedding, etc. We only have a limited number of spares in the building and cannot borrow from another child. If a spare item is borrowed from the school please return it clean!
Be sure to sign your child in and out EVERY day. This will prevent a lot of confusion. Thank you!
Please be sure to place your child’s belongings in their cubby and that everything is labeled. When items are handed to teachers or placed down in a classroom things get misplaced.
Thank you so much for all of your help! Teamwork is key in
providing the best quality care we can for your child!
