Seussology was Sensational!
On Monday, March 4th, Precious Butterflies welcomed a very special visitor…The Cat in the Hat!! All children in the school were treated to rhyme time, a Dr. Seuss trivia game, a chance to talk about and look through a variety of Dr. Seuss books, interactive games and more! There were puppets, music, dancing, clapping, magic tricks, and a visit from Thing 3 who made Thing 1 and Thing 2 seem “Tame oh so tame.”
The children loved hearing about how Dr. Seuss(Theodore Geisel) began as a young child, doodling and scribbling on paper with crayons. His wacky creations became the most popular children’s books known! Our visitor encouraged the children to read as much as they can, draw, color, create, and use their imagination. Even our infants enjoyed the music and colorful props spread about the room. We can’t wait for next year to see what antics the Cat brings to our school.
FREE Yoga class!
Precious Butterflies students will be starting free yoga classes in April. Yoga is a wonderful addition to the movement and muscle development the children already have. Practicing yoga not only is a calming agent for the mind, and a strong component of relaxation, but little ones can benefit from the use of muscle memory. The fluid movements will encourage the children to develop a better sense of balance, coordination, and flexibility. It is also a lot of fun!
Friday, April 5th PARENTS’ NIGHT OUT!!
Enjoy a night out, or time to get some errands done while the kids play at school! From 6 to 9pm, your children can watch a movie, play fun games, and have a good time! You must sign up with Miss Alicia by Monday April 1st to ensure enough staff coverage is available. Payment must be cash, and is PER CHILD. Siblings are welcome!!!
New Playground
We’re happy to announce we are awaiting the installation of our all new play structure for the playground. Coming in April (just in time for outdoor play!)

WHAT’S NEW!
- April will be an exciting month at Precious Butterflies! The children will learn a lot about different aspects of nature, and the Earth. We will plant a garden for Earth Day, learn to Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle, and have a special visit from an animal balloon storyteller.
- Remember, “April Showers bring May flowers,” so be sure to dress for the change in the weather. Also remember that all of your child’s belongings should have their name on them.
- Miss Alicia’s class will have a picnic on Wednesday, the 24th.
Parents, please prepare your child’s “picnic basket” lunch so we can easily take it outdoors.
DIG IT!
We will be planting lima beans and corn in clear plastic cups. Once the seeds take root they will go home so the children may care for their plants.

FIELD TRIP – Jumping Jungle!
Precious Butterflies Child Care will be taking a trip to Jumping Jungle located at 10 Alvin Court, Suite 100 East Brunswick, NJ 08816 Phone: 732-613-5867. Since it is too cold to go outside this is the perfect place for kids to Monkey Around.
The Jumping Jungle is a 10,000 square foot safe, clean and climate-controlled indoor inflatable recreation center. We offer 8 unique inflatables for open jumps and birthday parties, as well as kid-friendly arcade games. Check out our comfortable parent viewing area with HDTV’s, vending and free WiFi! Best of all, our facility is completely Eco-Friendly! We know how important the environment is to parents and kids these days, and we feel the same way. That’s why we’ve focused our core business plan around being ‘GREEN’!
Parents Night Out – Valentine’s Slumber Party
PARENTS NIGHT
Parents & Guardians work hard all week and sometimes need a break. Here at Precious Butterflies Child Care is offering one night a month to have a fun night out of the house. Children will be able to stay at the school after hours with their loving teachers to have fun. While parents are hard at work their children are working hard at school. This allows the children to enjoy themselves with special activities designed just for them. Children will be able to stay at school until 9:30p.m. Cost would be $15.00 a Child.
SLUMBER PARTY
Miss Kelly’s Kindergarten class is going to be having a SLUMBER PARTY. Valentine’s Day is coming up and would like to celebrate. Children will be able to bring their favorite stuffed animals, blankets, pillows, sleeping bag, and spend a night with Miss Kelly & their friends. Children will be engaged in making English Muffin Pizza’s, Playing Bingo, Painting, and of course a Dance Party. This isn’t just another movie night it is fun for everyone. Cost would be $25.00 a Child.

Please welcome Alicia Grasso, she is replacing Ms. Elaine as our Preschool teacher. Ms. Alicia has a master’s degree in English. Her first day with Precious Butterflies Child Care is today (January 21st, 2013).
